# PowerShell FullLanguage Mode

By default, [PowerShell](https://learn.microsoft.com/powershell/) on [Windows RT](/windows/operating-systems/windows-10.md) and [Windows 10](/windows/operating-systems/windows-10.md) (ARMv7) runs in ConstrainedLanguage mode and under normal circumstances the FullLanguage mode is not available. Thanks to the [Yahallo](/windows/jailbreaks/yahallo.md) Jailbreak, [UMCI Audit Mode](/windows/jailbreaks/umci-audit-mode.md) and the discovery of an [Audit Mode Policy](https://learn.microsoft.com/windows/msix/desktop/desktop-to-uwp-test-windows-s) intended for use on [Windows 10 S](https://support.microsoft.com/windows/experience/platform-variants/windows-10-and-windows-11-in-s-mode-faq), the FullLanguage is now available on both operating systems.

## Enabling FullLanguage Mode <a href="#image-configuration" id="image-configuration"></a>

The Audit Mode Policy used in this guide was intended for Windows 10 S and there may be unforeseen effects when using it outside of its intended purpose. The use of this policy is entirely at your own risk.

Select the tab relevant to the version of Windows in use.

This will only work on the Tegra based devices (ASUS VivoTab RT, Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11, Microsoft Surface RT & Surface 2) with Yahallo applied.

At the time of writing it there is no Yahallo equivalent for the Qualcomm based devices (Dell XPS 10, Samsung Ativ Tab & Nokia Lumia 2520) which can disable Secure Boot and as a result enabling UMCI Audit Mode is not possible.

1. Disable Secure Boot using the [Tegra Jailbreak USB](/windows/tools/tegra-jailbreak-usb.md) guide.
2. Enable [UMCI Audit Mode](/windows/jailbreaks/umci-audit-mode.md).
3. Reboot.

#### Method 1 - Manual Installation

1. Download the Windows 10 S [Windows Defender Application Control Policies](https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=849018) from [Microsoft](https://learn.microsoft.com/windows/msix/desktop/desktop-to-uwp-test-windows-s#first-download-the-policies-and-then-choose-one).
2. Open the downloaded `Windows10STestPolicies.zip` archive in Windows Explorer.
3. Copy the `SiPolicy_Audit.p7b` file from the archive to the `C:\Windows\System32\CodeIntegrity\` folder.
4. Rename the `SiPolicy_Audit.p7b` file in the `CodeIntegrity` directory to `SIPolicy.p7b`.
5. Reboot

#### Method 2 - Installer

1. **Download Installer**\

2. **Run Installer**\

   Open the folder where `Windows_10_15035_PowerShell_FullLanguage_Mode.cmd` was downloaded to, right click on the file and select "Run as administrator".\ <br>
3. **Install Windows 10 S Audit Mode Policy**\
   \
   Type "1" at the menu and press enter to begin the installation.\ <br>
4. **Would you like to install the Windows 10 S Audit Mode Policy (Y/N)?**\
   \
   Answering "Y" will start the installation, answering "N" will exit the installer.\ <br>
5. **A reboot is required for the policy install to take effect, would you like to reboot now? (Y/N)?**\
   \
   To reboot when prompted type "Y" and press enter, alternatively type "N" to reboot later. The policy will not take effect until the device has been rebooted.
